Baby Sendai - On Ebay for American Red Cross Japan Relief

Ebay listing 3/16.

Well, the images of the disaster in Japan have kept me from my work, again. Trying to concentrate in front of the T.V. with images on CNN detailing the massive destruction and the faces of the tiniest victims has swept me in a different direction. Sometime I have no control over this and whatever needs to emerge from the clay just does.
Here she is..Little Sendai.
She is just over 2 1/2 inches long and is a one of a kind Soft Body Baby. Tiny Sendai is made with Prosculpt clay without the use of a mold. She has a soft body filled with tiny pellets which give her weight and make her gently posable. She has been painted with several layers of heat set oil paints and lightly glazed on her eye lids, nose and tiny lips. Baby Sendai's hair is soft black viscose fiber with tiny pink thread roses attached to her little pigtails. She is wearing a pink crocheted kimono blouse and decorated with a silk ribbon obi bow. I have crocheted a thread basket for her crib. It is decorated with Japanese print cotton pillows to keep her secure.
Baby Sendai will arrive with a signed certificate and her shipping is free.

I will donate the money raised by this sale to the American Red Cross Japan Relief Fund.
Please keep the people of Japan in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you as always for your support dear friends.
Hugs to all
Morena

  4. She's adorable, but I can't find her on eBay! I'm eager to, because I won Amazing Grace last year and have been collecting other things to make a "No room in the inn" creche based on the Haiti earthquake. Of course I want to include the baby rescued from the tsunami too. Actually, she was older than your Baby Sendai looks..... a 3-month old I think. Anyway, I'm glad you've made Baby Sendai-- she's darling.

  6. Hello Janet!
Little Amazing Grace was so sweet! I loved working on her, even though I really don't have much control over these special little ones. They they have a way of birthing themselves.
My Ebay link is at the top right of my blog page. Everyone keeps asking. I will try to figure out some way of making it more visible. I'm not very good at setting things up on this blog but I'll try.
Here is the link for Sendai.

  11. Hello Rose!
Isn't it great when that happens! Usually stops me in my tracks and everything else takes a back seat for a short time. So happy that she is now living with Pastor Linda. The Red Cross received a much needed donation and everyone is blessed.
It was kind of you to stop by and chat dear Rose.
    Sending lots of XXX
